An agent takes an oath: numbered, falsifiable laws in plain language. From then on its conduct is adjudicated law by law into a tamper-evident, append-only Merkle log — violations and uncertainty must be confessed by contract. Over time each agent earns a public honesty index that nothing can improve except conduct.
Don't trust the agent. Check the ledger.
Swear. The agent publishes an oath — identity, key, and numbered laws that can actually be broken.
Log. Every action becomes a signed entry with a verdict citing the law by number: compliant, violation, or uncertain.
Confess. Violations and uncertainty carry a confession, logged before the result is presented as done. There is no silent failure state.
Verify. Anyone recomputes the Merkle tree and every signature — no keys, no permission, no trust in us required.
